Dreamsword Chapter 17Chapter 17: A Dangerous Man.   
"Excuse me, my lords?" a page in Brindol red thrust himself in between lord Trask and Eutropius.   
"What is it?" lord Trask said, clearly irritated at the interruption.  He and Eutropius had been verbally sparring via ambiguous statements and small talk; a dangerous sort of conversation that Eutropius both loathed and thrived on.  Friends and enemies were made in the subtle words of politics.   
"I beg your pardon, sir, but Lord Jaarmath wished to speak to you both privately."  The page bobbed his head respectfully, seemingly flustered by the busyness Dreamsword Chapter 17

Eutropius was not concerned about clothing.  He had several blue silk coats for formal occasions with buttons that varied from glass to dragon ivory.  The coat that he was wearing now had plain gold buttons, and he wore elbow-length gloves of black dragonskin.  The ways of impressing nobility were subtle.  Gold was an obvious show of wealth, especially on a thing as common as a button, while the dragonskin gloves would remind everyone that he had fought and defeated not one, but four full-grown dragons.  He was not someone to be trifled with Dreamsword Chapter 16

General's game part 3Not that Thumb's spotter was likely to notice anything of interest, nor was the enemy was very likely to take the siege engines, anyway.  In fact, although the country was tired and distressed about the war, on the front line, the men agreed that it was stretching it to call the battle a war at all.  It was mostly for political purposes that it was given that name.  What this particular battle really amounted to was Zack, Thumbs, and the rest of the crew attacking an annoyingly sturdy wall that surrounded a mouldering old castle for reasons that no one could fathom.

A while ago, I wrote a journal in which I said that I would give features to the next nine people who wrote on my journal asked for one, plus the person who featured me in the original meme. Again, the rules were:
